Three weeks after the opening of the world’s newest airport, Al Maktoum, which serves the huge enterprise zone of Dubai World Central, things are already looking good.
Today saw the low key opening of Al Maktoum International Airport with the first commercial passenger flight to land there, courtesy of Hungarian budget airline Wizz Air.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT at Al Maktoum Airport
Bus services link Al Maktoum Airport to the City Centre and also provide transfers to Dubai International Airport. Taxis are also available with both services operated by the Road and Transports Authority (RTA).

Bus no F55 - Ibn Battuta Station
Bus no F55A - Satwa Station
Service started on 27 Octover 2013 to coincide with the first passenger arrivals. Each service runs every 60 minutes. The F55 service takes approximately 40 minutes and terminated at Ibn Battuta Station, whilst the F55A, setting out from Satwa Bus Station and picking up on route to Al Maktoum will take approximately 90 minutes.
